Andy Buschmann, 69, of Batesville passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021.
He was born Dec. 5, 1951, in Batesville, Arkansas to Harry August Buschmann and Wilda (Gilliam) Buschmann.
Andy’s life glittered with his passions for things simple and complex. He loved a hot cup of coffee and a long run. He loved the night sky and learning songs to play with his band. He used songs to express himself often composing original music. Andy was G-Daddy to his grandkids and any kids who came his way; his arms were always open. He loved his community, serving for many years as a frontline pharmacist and volunteer deputy. His commitment to health was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Andy Buschmann was a lover of the universe, loved by all who knew him. Whether you called him husband, Daddy, G-Daddy, athlete, scientist, musician, or friend; to know him is to love him.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Buschmann; three daughters, Andra Hunter (Matt) of Dallas, Texas, Meagan Akins (William) of Batesville, Arkansas, and Terra Buschmann of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Audrey Hunter, Grimsley Hunter, Birdie Akins, and Bonnie Akins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-sister, Lois Buschmann; and granddaughter, Lindley Hunter.
There will be a visitation held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. Masks are required to enter per the family’s request.
