“Mickey” Jess Mitchell Sutterfield of the Remmel Community departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at the age of 63. He was born July 14, 1958, in Newport, the son of Carl Edward Sutterfield and Helen (Kemp) Gower.
Mickey was a truck driver for many years and has farmed for the past few years. He enjoyed spending time visiting friends, aggravating everyone he met, and fishing. He loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids the most.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl Edward Sutterfield; Step-father J.W Gower; Father-in-law, Kenneth Jr. Cash; and Mother-in-law, Norma (Nance) Cash.
Mickey is survived by his wife of 40 years, Leigh Ann (Cash) Sutterfield of the home; one son, Chancery (Grace) Sutterfield of Newport; two daughters, Jessica (Jessie) Turner of Griffithville and Meagan (Taylor) Cooper of Searcy; six grandchildren, Kaleigh Turner, Nicholas Turner, Ashlyn Turner, Raiden Cooper, Laiken Cooper, Toby Cooper; two brothers Keith (Tina) Sutterfield of Lonoke and Carl Douglas (Gail) Sutterfield of Bradford; two sisters Helen Smith of Newport and Carolyn (Tommy) Morgan of Tuckerman; one sister in-law Nancy (Tuffy) Young of Tuckerman; two brothers-in-law, Danny (Jackie) Cash of Florida and Doug Cash of Newport; several nieces and nephews.
Mickey never met a stranger and had made a lifetime of friends. He will be greatly missed by many.
