Ronald Coy Thomas, 72, went to be with Jesus at 9:19 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on June 20, 1949, to Coy and Rosalie Crumley Thomas. He was a contract Electrical Engineer and did work all over the United States and in 16 countries. He was a Reserve Officer in Independence County for more than 45 years. He worked as a County Deputy during times he was at home between jobs. He was a member of the Southside Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Nancy Jackson Thomas of the home; two sons, Shawn Thomas (Michelle) of Bryant and Joshua Thomas (Trista) of Locust Grove; one sister, Patricia Thomas of Batesville; one grandson, Jaxon Coy Thomas of Bryant; two nephews, David Finley of Zion and Ian Jackson of Desha and a host of other relatives and friends,
There will be a Home Going Celebration held at a later date. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
