Obituary: Virginia Winston

Virginia Winston 83, of Newark, passed away Friday at her home. She was born Aug. 12, 1938, to John and Hazallee (Jackson) Bethel. She was of the Baptist belief. She believed in God and cherished her bible.

Winston loved to listen to Dale Watson, the scanner, CNN News, she loved playing shuffleboard and looking at the wish books, most of all she loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald Morris Winston, one son; Gerald Winston Jr, Sisters: Imogene Doyle, Ruth Reynolds, Brenda Chambliss, brothers; J.T. Gardner, Roger Bethel, Leo Bethel.

Winston is survived by her sons: James E Winston, Michael Stephen Winston, Daniel Leo Winston, Burton Willis Winston, daughters: Linda Lou Winston, Judy Griggs her other daughter, 15 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank a special friend, Sally Robinette for being here for the family.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till service time.

The family asks that no one wear perfume or cologne to the service.
