Stan Wood of Wood Family Dealerships passed away on July 20, 2021, yet his legacy lives on in his family, business, and community.
The University of Arkansas Community College (UACCB) Foundation has established the Stan Wood Memorial Endowed Scholarship to honor Mr. Wood for his service to UACCB as a longtime friend and advocate for educational and economic opportunities in the community. The annual scholarship will provide academic funds for a non-traditional student enrolled at UACCB.
“Dad would have been completely humbled by this scholarship,” said Stan’s son, Scott Wood. “He served on the committee that worked to create UACCB and then served on the Board of Visitors. He was committed to both UACCB and improving educational opportunities for our community. We are very pleased when UACCB asked to honor him in this way.”
The Wood family has contributed to the Stan Wood Memorial Endowed Scholarship and is encouraging others to support UACCB students by contributing and getting involved.
All proceeds from this year’s annual UACCB Foundation Golf Tournament Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 will go toward this scholarship fund.
