Kurt Mourer, 58, of Batesville died on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021.
He was born July 4, 1963, in Fort Hood, Tex., and was of the Baptist faith.
Kurt was the owner of Kurt’s Performance and Boats and KM Masonry. He loved driving fast speed boats. Whether he was sitting still fishing or pushing them to their limits across the water, Kurt felt at home in a fast boat. He loved attending boat rallies with his family and made lifelong friends at those rallies through their shared passion for boating.
Kurt loved boats and fishing but his heart belonged to his family. Kurt is reunited in heaven with his father Jerry Mourer of Batesville. He is survived by his loving wife, Chalee Mourer; his mother, Milinda Mourer; his son, Joe Mourer; his daughters Cara Mourer, Catie Mourer, Jayden Mourer Long (Jacob), and Maycee Mourer; his brothers, Lee Mourer and Crissy Mourer and their children, Blake Mourer (Heather Mourer) and their children, of Golden, Col., Scott Mourer, of Denver, Col., and his honorary brother, Kenny Witek, of San Antonio, Tex.; his grandchildren, Luke Bradley Foss and Ella Mourer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.
Family and friends will host a memorial to celebrate Kurt’s life at Kennedy Park (near the boat ramp area) on the White River in Batesville on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
