A male pedestrian hit by a turning vehicle in Batesville earlier this month has died.

The Arkansas State Police Preliminary Fatality Report says Lewis Blue Price, 86, was crossing the roadway at the intersection of Highway 167 (St. Louis Street) and College Street on Oct. 15 when he was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado truck that was making a turn.

The road condition was reported wet and the weather cloudy at the time of the accident — about 12:55 p.m.

Price was initially taken to White River Medical Center. He died at UAMS in Little Rock on Oct. 21, according to the report.
