Two actors who filmed movies in Mountain View over the past three years were recently back in the area filming a movie they hope will again be featured on the Hallmark Channel.
Galadriel Stineman (pictured above) and her husband, actor Kevin Joy, are starring in a movie titled “Plus One at an Amish Wedding.” Stineman told White River Now’s Gary Bridgman the film’s production company, ACI Inspires, is hopeful this movie will be picked up by the programming department for the Hallmark Channel.
Stineman was in Mountain View on Saturday, Oct. 23, autographing copies of her first book, “Love Against the Autumn Sky.” She said she absolutely loves reading, but loves writing even more. (For more information on her book, “Love Against the Autumn Sky,” click here.)
Stineman and Joy starred in “Follow Your Heart” which aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel and had 1.8 million total viewers. That number of viewers made “Follow Your Heart” the third-highest rated movie for the year on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. (Click here for more on that movie.)
Stineman said their second movie filmed in the area, “Finding Love in Mountain View,” will soon be released and is hoped to be aired on the Hallmark Channel.
Joy said because of the movie’s rustic setting, the Mountain View area is the perfect place to do most of the filming on “Plus One at an Amish Wedding.” The movie also stars Mercedes Marcial and Pamela Daly.
Stineman noted that “Plus One at an Amish Wedding” is another heartwarming family film from ACI Inspires. She said she loves filming in the Mountain View area and added that it is truly slow-paced compared to the Los Angeles area where she currently lives with Joy.
The couple has been married for 16 years and has two boys, ages 11 and 8.
