Christopher C. Estes, age 61, formerly of Poughkeepsie passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, after a lengthy battle with MS.
Chris was born in Batesville, Arkansas on Feb. 12, 1960, to Wilbur (John) and Frances Herndon Estes.
He was a 1978 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and a 1981 graduate of Arkansas State University. After graduating from ASU, Chris went to work for the Federal Land Bank in Pine Bluff. Later, he worked in the banking industry in Pine Bluff and Wynne before joining ABC Block in Little Rock. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He loved spending time on the family farm and being with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, John, and daughter, Maranda Estes Verser. He is survived by his mother, Frances of Cave City; son, Aaron Estes (Bobbi) of Bull Shoals; grandchildren, Maddison Verser, Levi Verser, and Jacob Moore of Evening Shade, and Leif and Conner Estes of Bull Shoals; brothers, David Estes (Renae) of Higedon, James Estes (Margo) of Ackworth, Georgia; sister, Julie Johnson (Phillip) of Sidney; nephews, Hayden and Jack Estes of Ackworth, Georgia; nieces, Jenna Rogers (Josh) of Greers Ferry, and Jessie Estes of Barre, Vermont.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at the Cave City Church of Christ. A private family service will be held earlier.
