Judy Ann Hoover Smith, 69, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Judy was born in Pocahontas, AR on December 23, 1951, to the late Vincent and Addie (Sizemore) Hoover. She was a truck driver for over 35 years. Judy enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, shopping at flea markets and yard sales, and most of all spending time with her family.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Russell Phillips and Addie Eckart; paternal father, Vincent Hoover; sisters, Glenda Louise Phillips, Janet Herndon, and Josephine Hoover; brothers, Pete Hoover, Pat Hoover, and Jerry Phillips; brother-in-law, Donald Herndon; sister-in-law, Jeanie Hoover; and niece, Serena Foster.
She is survived by her sons, Ralph Jr. Thatch (Lesley), and Michael Thatch (Crystal); daughter, Misty Stahr (Chris); brother, Paul Hoover (Kaye); sister-in-law, Sue Phillips; grandchildren, J. R. Thatch, Jeffery Thatch (Lynnsey), Mitchell Jackson, Tiffany Guinnip (Leon), Micah Richardson (Jeremy), Brittnie Hix (Jonathon), Trenton Pretty (Ashley), Hayden Pretty (Ashley), and Gracie Pretty; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeffery Thatch, Hayden Pretty, Tim Hoover, Randy Hoover, Keith Rogers, and Kevin Pretty. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Thatch and Charles Lundry.
A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville, AR on Tuesday, November 23rd from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be held in the Willis chapel on Wednesday, November 24th at 10 AM with interment to Egner Cemetery following the service.
