Lynwood Lankford, 84 of Melbourne passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, at his home. He was born February 14, 1937, in Franklin, Arkansas to George and Sarah Johns Lankford. He was a retired truck driver; a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Zion Hill Fellowship.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Betty Lankford; a brother, Paul Lankford and a grandson, Jeremy Townsley.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Lankford of Franklin, Carol Lankford of Batesville and Sarah Lankford of New York; six grandchildren, Trent Lankford, Jonathan Francis, Erin Crouch, Stormy Lankford, Tabitha Francis and Amanda Townsley; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Hill Fellowship in Zion with Bro David Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery at Zion with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
