Mr. Eric John Henderson, Sr., 61 of Harrisburg departed this life on Friday ~ December 10, 2021, at Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born February 29, 1960, in Grand Haven, Michigan the son of John Walter and Lois Marion (Ellis) Henderson.
His parents preceded him in death, one brother, Richard Henderson, and one grandchild, Chloe Harper.
He was a true believer in God and a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Greenfield. He was a man that enjoyed his Bible and was known for journaling his Bible study. He was a truck driver most of his life, but he served in the United States Army from 1978 until 1985. He was an E5 Sgt. and a paratrooper. He truly enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Sue Henderson of Harrisburg, one son, Eric Jr. and wife Holly Henderson of Harrisburg, three daughters: Pamela (Michael) Whittaker of Jonesboro, Tonya (Stephen) Woodward of Jonesboro, and Jennifer Henderson also of Jonesboro, two sisters: Cheryl Marie (Todd) Brinks of Spring Lake, Michigan and Brenda Grace (Kevin) Klopp of Muskegon, Michigan, grandchildren: Kylen Whittaker, Benton Rogers, Emily Whittaker, William Sparks, John Cameron Whittaker, Zachary Harper, Aubrey Henderson, Jacob Woodward, River Woodward, Kenzie Woodward, Haven Woodward, Chesney Henderson, and Gabriel Henderson.
Visitation will be at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Wednesday ~ December 15, 2021, from 10:00 until Service Time with Funeral Services at 11:00 A. M. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Men from the family will serve as Active Pallbearers. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home.
