Janice Collins Hancock, 73, of Concord, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2021.

She was born in Wynne, Arkansas on May 22, 1948, to Roe Collins and Ailene Havner. She married James Richard Hancock, Jr. on April 8, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee and together they enjoyed over thirty-eight years of marriage. All throughout their marriage they were totally devoted and depended highly upon each other.

Janice was a beautician and cosmetologist. She also worked in accounts receivables in a cardiac surgery department.

She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, Arkansas.

Janice loved her family and her church very much. She enjoyed traveling and loved talking about her grandchildren. She took great care of the things she had and enjoyed the simple life.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy Dunn, Jr. of Inverness, Florida, James Richard Hancock, III (Lee Ann) of Pinson, Tennessee; her daughter, elRonda Dickens, of Concord; her mother, Ailene Jordan, of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Bettye Collins, of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Jessyca, Dylan, Matthew, Joshua, and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hancock, Jr. her father, Roe Collins, her stepfather, C D. Jordan, and her daughter-in-law, Marcia Townsend.

A Memorial Service will be Monday, January 3, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Missionary Baptist Church in Concord, with Bro. Richard Sparks and Bro. Chris Garrett officiating.
