Mark Hall, a teacher at Eagle Mountain Elementary, told his fourth-grade students last year that if they came in first in the school district in literacy and writing that he would shave his head and let them paint his face.
So before the holiday break, Hall (pictured above, pre-shave) fulfilled his promise to the now fifth-grade students. In fact, the students were above the national, state, and district averages in both literacy and writing.
Kandy Tosh (pictured below with Hall), a fellow fourth-grade teacher, had the honor of shaving Hall’s head. The students also had a chance to write on either his face, arms, or shirt before the haircut.
