Obituary: Nora Lee Curry

Nora Lee Curry, 84, of Russellville departed this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  She was born March 24, 1937, to Walter and Minnie Beulah (Cannon) Clark.

Nora was a hard worker, from being a dental assistant in Memphis to a store clerk in Galveston, to managing apartments in Boulder, Colorado.  When she moved back to Little Rock she worked at Levi Strauss and B. J. McAdams.  She then worked alongside her two sons, Eddie and Johnny, at Randal James Owens Trucking Company.  After her working years were over, she spent her last several years with Dale Ray, Tristen and LaDonna.  She loved working in her flower gardens and watching butterflies. She was the mother of three sons and three daughters, grandmother to twenty-three grandchildren, great-grandmother to sixty-eight great-grandchildren and had a great-great-grandchild on the way. She will be loved and missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Nelson Appleton Williams; her sons, David Gene Williams and Edward Nelson Drope; her husbands, David Galetti and Floyd Homer Weems.

She is survived by one son, Johnny (Tracy) Drope of Tennessee; daughters, Dawn DeCarlo Saunders of Little Rock, Hope LaNora Moraga of Los Angeles, California, LaDonna Lee Blair of Russellville; and her step-son, Eddie Patrick Weems of Truman.

Service will be Monday, January 3, 2021, at 1:00 at Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
