Obituary: Anne Elizabeth Casebier-Lawrence

Anne Elizabeth Casebier-Lawrence, 93, formerly of Jonesboro, living in Cherokee Village, grew up in Harrisburg departed this life Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born February 18, 1928, in Jonesboro, Arkansas the daughter of Onas and Lillie (Whitstone) Casebier. She is a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was a secretary for many years in different businesses, working several years at George Jackson Mental Health Care Facility in Jonesboro before retiring in 1985.

She graduated from Harrisburg High School and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She loved collecting teapots, loved the color pink, and working crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: G. W. Casebier and Oren Casebier, two sisters: Louella Spencer and Nina Martin.

She is survived by two sons: Larry Lawrence of Cherokee Village and Garry (Carol Anne) Lawrence also of Cherokee Village, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg from 1:00 P. M. until service time. Service Time will be at 2:00 P. M. in the chapel with interment in Farm Hill Cemetery. Her sons will share memories of their mother and the family will serve as active pallbearers.
