Richard Lee “Ricky” Williams, 70, of Newport passed away Friday at his home. He was born January 31, 1951, in Searcy to John and Margie (Sellers) Williams. He was in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, fishing, hunting, and playing games on the computer, especially solitaire. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his wife; Ashley Williams of Newport, one daughter; Destiny Williams of Newport, four brothers; John Williams of Texas, Roger Williams of Nebraska, Steve Williams of Texas, Mitchell Williams of Newport, two sisters; JoAnn Everett of Newport, Teresa Moss of Blytheville, father and mother in law; Jimmy and Tammy King of Newport, brother and sister in law; Jack and Brittany King, niece; Piper King of Newport, special niece; Sara Jones of Newport, brother in law; Jason Baty of Newport, nephews; Jerry Webb of Conway, Brian Webb of Newport, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, at the Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
