Peggy Ann Claxton, 86, of Tuckerman, Arkansas, gained her wings on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
She had been reunited with her childhood sweetheart, and husband of many years, Tommy Jackson Claxton. Peggy was a member of the Tuckerman Church of Christ.
Peggy is a great example of God’s precious love for all of us and had a heart bigger than this world. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, her puppy, Gracie and consistently watching Monday night wrestling with her nephew, Ryan.
Shewas preceded in death by her husband, Tommy; her parents, William Kimberlin and May (Selvidge) Deaton; one sister, Helen Deaton Shoffner; three brothers, William Kimberlin Deaton, Jr., Billy Joe Deaton, and Bud Deaton.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Deaton of Rock Island, Illinois; two nephews, Ryan W. Deaton and wife, Julie, and Jared Green, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends.
Anyone who knew Peggy would understand that she would also include her precious sidekick/puppy, Gracie as a surviving family member.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.R. Rosado officiating. Interment will follow in Dowell’s Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Saturday, 1:00 p.m. until service time.
