Batesville-based First Community Bank has announced reaching $2 billion in assets.
First Community Bank opened for business in August of 1997 at 710 St. Louis St. in Batesville with 14 employees and $3.5 million in capital.
“The success we have achieved would not be possible without our amazing customers, shareholders, board of directors, and our accomplished team of professional bankers,” said Dale Cole, chairman and chief executive officer for First Community Bank. “Our team is intensely focused on working together in all of our growing markets to put community first, and we’re so pleased that it is paying off for them and for us.”
Since 1997, the communities where First Community Bank has a presence have embraced the values and personalized banking approach. This has resulted in tremendous growth and created a need for additional locations throughout Arkansas and Missouri. Today, First Community Bank has grown to 500 employees and is the tenth-largest bank chartered in Arkansas.
Bank employees celebrated the $2 billion-dollar achievement with a celebration at each of the bank’s 29 locations the morning of Friday, Jan. 14. For more information about First Community Bank, call 870-612-3400 or visit firstcommunity.net.
