The Southside Lady Southerners punched their ticket to the 4A regional tournament with a tough 49-44 win over the Brookland Lady Bearcats at home Thursday night — their third game in four days.
It was a close back and forth affair all night as neither team could pull ahead.
A three-pointer late in the second quarter gave Brookland a 25-18 lead. The Southerners would 18-6 run to give them a 36-31 lead and they would lead the rest of the way.
Olivia Allen led Southside with 19 points, Kamie Jenkins dominated the boards with 10 rebounds, and eight points, Julian Stevens had 11 points, four steals, two assists, and three rebounds.
Callie Robbins added eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.
The Lady Southerners move to 21-1 on the season (20th straight win) and 11-0 in conference play.

On Wednesday, the Lady Southerners prevailed over Westside in a makeup game at home with a score 65-41 final. At half, the score was 46-35.
Olivia Allen led all scores 23 points and five rebounds. Kamie Jenkins scored 15 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks. Callie Jo Robbins scored nine points and had seven rebounds. Juliann Stevens had eight rebounds and six points. Alexa Blevins had five rebounds and five assists.
