Bill Averill, Sr., of Thida, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born October 31, 1949, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of Ernest and Joann (Williams) Averill.
He attended White River Vo-Tech in Newport and worked for Arkansas Steel Associates until his retirement. He was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Germany.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially riding his horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Sandra Rogers.
He is survived by three sons, Billy Averill, Jr., and wife, Hope of Rosie, Arkansas, Richie Averill of Arvada, Colorado, and Joey Averill; one brother, Ernest Averill of Oklahoma; one grandchild, Everett Boone Averill; and his best friends, Gail Averill and Adam Vinson.
