Amanda Gail Duty, 41, of McCrory passed from this life on Monday, February 7, 2022, in Newport. Amanda was born December 6, 1980, in Newport to Jimmy and Norma Duty.
She attended the Smith Center Assembly of God church. She loved thrift shopping and was always looking for a bargain. She also enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, arrowhead hunting, swimming in the creek and just being outside with her kids. She was a lover of all animals, not just domesticated. It wasn’t unusual for her and her children to raise a baby raccoon in their home, hatch their own ducklings and chickens in an incubator or have an aquarium full of turtles. She loved her children dearly and enjoyed watching them play sports.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Jimmy Duty; her aunt, Betty Murry; her niece, Macie Burton; her grandparents, Oma Mae, George Duty and Janie Canard.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother Norma Duty of Newport; the father of her children, Daniel Ireland of McCrory; sons Hunter Ireland of Newport, Devon Ireland of Newport, Hayden Duty of Newport and daughter Angel Ireland of Newport; brother Derrick Duty of Newport; sisters, Lisa Lindsey (Chad) of Newport, Christy Terry of Hot Springs, Shanna Duty of Newport; one grandchild Greyson Ireland; her mother-in-law, Loretta Holleman; her sister-in-law Amber Gonzales (Andrew); a host of nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 10 a.m. with visitation Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5-7 pm.
