
James “Dumas” Walker of Weiner, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the age of 71. He was born July 7, 1950, in Newport, the son of Clyde and Willie (Riley) Walker.
He was a graduate of Tuckerman High School. He was an Air Force veteran serving 6 years following high school. He retired from Norandal after working thirty-five years. Mr. Walker was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved farming and driving tractors.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Walker and his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Gayla McLaughlin and husband, Ronnie, of Newark, Kristie Walker and wife, Stephanie, of Tuckerman; two sisters, Donnie Smith and husband, Don, of Searcy and Bonnie Rutherford and husband, Marvin, of Tuckerman; two grandchildren, Bryson Schulz and wife, Bree, of Lake Village, and Destiney Ridgel and husband, Kenneth, of Newark; three great-grandchildren, James, Daniel, Jaxsyn and one on the way; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Clark Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bryson Schulz, Steven Wall, Eddie Sitzer, Corey Trotter, Brad Mack, and Brian Anschutz. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Mack, Keith Lloyd, James Duke, Willie Moore and Cavin Carlton.
