Jerry Dwight Davis of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama on Friday, February 11, 2022. Until recently he was a life ~ long resident of Harrisburg and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was born on July 26, 1945, in Harrisburg, Arkansas the youngest son of 14 children born to the late Herman Arnold and Oda Belle (Denton) David.
He is survived by four siblings: Emma Knowlton of Springdale, Arkansas, Paul Davis of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Pauline Robinson of Trumann, Arkansas, and Judy Moss of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Jerry is survived by four children: Jerry P. (Robin) Davis of Wetumpka, Al, Donna (Thomas) Bowen of Austin, Arkansas, Shane (Shalon) Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Pamla (Antonio) Kidd of Graniteville, SC. Eleven grandchildren: Kayla (John) Mitchell, Sean (Mary Grace) Davis, Ryan (Shelbi) Davis, Alayna Payne, Justin (Kurstin) Payne, Victoria Bowen, Felisha Davis, Hudson Davis, Ethan Davis, Madalynn Wilson, and Quintyn Davis. He also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation and the funeral service will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 12:00 until Service Time. The Funeral Service time is 2:00 P. M. in the chapel. Pastor Zach Davis will conduct the service. Active pallbearers will be Darrell Davis, Perry Davis, Quintyn Davis, Aaron Davis, Ryan and Sean Davis.
Honorary pallbearers are: Ronnie Moss, Larry Mills, Roger McClain and Ray Sharp. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park.
