A Wynne man is facing three felonies after authorities say he was found with brass knuckles, a knife, a small amount of a crystalline substance consistent with meth, and a loaded handgun under his vehicle seat.

According to the incident report, a detective and deputy from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department were executing a search warrant at an Edger Road residence when Deputy Chris Stump observed a man sitting in a nearby Chevrolet Tahoe reach under his seat.

After the man ignored the deputy’s order to roll down the window and continued to reach under the seat, Stump opened the vehicle’s door and removed the man, identified as Shae A. George, 42.

After frisking George, the report said Stump discovered a fixed knife in George’s boot as well as brass knuckles and a small bag containing a “white crystalline substance” consistent with methamphetamine in George’s pants pockets. Also found under the passenger seat where George had been sitting: a .22 caliber handgun with a loaded magazine containing 10 rounds of live ammunition, according to the report.

George is facing felony possession of meth or cocaine, felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and felony possession of a firearm by certain persons along with three misdemeanors.
