Barbara St. Clair Stevenson, 94, of Batesville died on February 27, 2022.
She was born January 29, 1928, in Columbia, MO and was the daughter of William Frank St. Clair and Mary Agnes Booth St. Clair.
Barbara attended Sullins Girl College in Bristol, VA and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. She married John David Stevenson on February 28, 1953.
She was a member of PEO for over 50 years and other civic organizations was a docent of the Old Independence Regional Museum and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. She enjoyed serving her community and was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survivors include her son, John David Stevenson Jr. and wife, Deanna of Fortson, Georgia; five grandchildren, Steven Lopez of Edmond, Oklahoma, Daniel Lopez of Baytown, Texas, Andy Lopez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert Lopez and wife Courtney of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Michael Stevenson and wife Kelly of Milford, Ohio; five great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John David ”Jack” Stevenson, and her daughter, Katherine Stevenson Lopez.
Graveside services are private. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, Friday, March 4th, 2022 at 11:00 am with Katie Goss Pearce officiating.
The family will receive friends in the church parlor after the memorial service.
