James Leroy Conrad, 86, of Trumann, departed this life on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born June 18, 1935, in Harrisburg, the son of Robert Carl and Ruby Gladis (White) Conrad.
His parents preceded him in death, also preceding in death two brothers: Carl and David Conrad, five sisters: Evelyn Tucker, Sudie Raby, Mary McCoy, Marie McCoy, Beatrice Conrad, and one grandson, Robert Clayton Forman. James married Minnie Holt on September 5, 1958, and they have enjoyed 63 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a mechanic and a member of Parkview Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Minnie (Holt) Conrad of the home in Trumann, three daughters: Vickie (Rocky) Lindsey of Jonesboro, Teresa (Robert) Roche also of Jonesboro, Sandy (Mike) Forbis of Memphis, Tennessee, one brother, Raymond Conrad of Prarie Grove, Arkansas, 5 grandchildren: Chris Forbis, Matt Forbis, Heath Warbritton, Clay Forman, and Camille Holt, 8 great-grandchildren: Carter Kirk, Jonah Forbis, Elin Kirk, Lawson Dill, Bea Forbis, Carrie Forman, Jett Forbis, and Wes Forman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 until Service Time.
Funeral Service time will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. Mr. Mike Forbis will conduct the service. Active pallbearers are: Clay Forman, Heath Warbritton, Matt Forbis, Chris Forbis, Josh Holt, and Billy Lindsey.
