Montine (Gipson) McClain Copeland of North Little Rock, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born July 14, 1929, in Independence County, the daughter of Adolf Z. and Bertha (Cantrell) Gipson.
She worked many years as a property manager in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her life there, she enjoyed many Cincinnati Reds games. She enjoyed sewing and macramé. She especially loved the time spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, and father of her children, Charles Marion McClain; her second husband, Ordis Dale Copeland; two sons, David McClain and Danny McClain; one great-grandchild, Chace Crabtree; one brother, Jack Gipson; one sister, Bobbie Pruett; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen McClain of Costa Rica, and Sonny Alan McClain of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Tina McClain, DeDee Crabtree, Monica Lowery, Marci McClain, Hays McClain, and Alex McClain; and four great-grandchildren, Blake Rylant, Cole Crabtree, Cade Crabtree, and Kamren Hicks.
The funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Monday at Newark Church of Christ with Mr. Danny Blevins officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. – service time at the church.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark McGhee, Randy Sisk, Blake Rylant, Cole Crabtree, Cade Crabtree, and Scott Lowery. Doug McGibbany will be an honorary pallbearer.
