Patrick William Simpson of Cave City passed away peacefully on Mar. 14, 2022, while bravely battling cancer.
He was born on November 6, 1965, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Son of parents Jim and Peggy. After graduating high school at Williford, Pat went on to Harding University. He then joined the Air Force and proudly served for 4 years.
One of Patrick’s proudest moments was marrying his wife, Robin on Nov 14, 1992, and welcoming a baby girl, Shelby in July of 1994.
He was a hard worker and enjoyed his 10-year career at Indco Cable Co., and eventually became a Licensed Contractor providing Home improvement services for 20+ years.
His favorite things to do were being outdoors, woodworking, playing guitar, violin, and banjo, and spending time with his family. Patrick was a quiet person, but those who knew him knew he was, kind, caring, witty and smart. He was of the Christian Faith and was at peace knowing he would be resting with Jesus.
Patrick is preceded in death by his mother and father Peggy and Jim Simpson, his little brother Ben Simpson, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Robin, daughter Shelby, stepsons Brandon and Cameron Ward, Brother Erik, four grandchildren Andrew, Ty, Jovee, and Rhett Ward, one great-grandson Daxton, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Ward, Cameron Ward, Jarrett Simpson, Mark Wyatt, Frank Hightower, and Colin Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers are Erik Simpson, Jody Carpenter, Craig Byrd, Andy Lee, CJ Carpenter, Dewayne Dickey, and Vaughn Ward.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Jeff Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
