The Lyon College Scots baseball team was shut out on Tuesday night at Fred Wann Field in Batesville 3-0 by the visiting Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles.
The Scots were allowed only two hits coming after the fifth inning. Alan West and Logan Doody were the only two Lyon College players to get hits during the game.
The Eagles used three pitchers during the game, giving up three walks and striking out seven.
Aiden Pantoya and Dyan Baskins pitched an inning apiece to start the game. Cameron Gordon came in to pitch six innings. He gave up eight hits and three earned runs. Gordon struck out five batters. Jordan Oliveria came in to pitch the ninth inning.
Texarkana scored all three of its runs in the third inning.
The Scots (15-10) will enter American Midwest Conference action this weekend at Columbia College.
