Paul David Posey of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the age of 73. He was born January 27, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Carl Donald and Frances Mae Pass Posey.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and an Army Commendation Medal for his service. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and cooking. His greatest joy came from spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Samuel A. Posey and Donny Posey: and one sister, Theresea Mobbs.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Walls and husband, Bobby, of Bradford, and Rebecca Knapp of Bradford; two sisters, Ann Kidd of Bradford, and Vivian McDougal and husband, Dewayne, of Michigan City, Indiana; six grandchildren, Marissa Walls, Zack Wesson, Sierra Walls, Jacob Knapp, Isaiah Knapp, and Darien Walls; two great-grandchildren, Jayden Wesson and Veronica Knapp.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
