Melva M. Stevens, age 80 of Mott, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Mott, ND.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Melva Mary Cornella was born on February 9, 1942, in Hettinger, ND to Harry A. and Mary E. (Stevens) Cornella. Following her graduation from Hettinger High School and nursing school in Dickinson, ND, she moved to Batesville, Arkansas. There she raised her family and had a forty-year career as an LPN. She then returned to Hettinger and reunited with one of her high school friends, Ernest Underland. She spent her remaining years traveling with Ernest and residing in Mott, ND.
She loved watching sports, especially Nascar races, cooking, playing scrabble and trivia, and spending time with friends and family. She was a lifelong Christian.
Surviving family members include her husband, Ernest Underland, Mott, ND; two sons, Michael Plaster, Darren (Amy) Plaster, grandchildren, Joshua, Mariah, Taylor, and Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Neal and Tony Cornella; one sister, Delores Danielson.
