JD Garner, 90, of Pleasant Plains passed away on April 6, 2022.

He was born December 14, 1931, in Pleasant Plains to William Francis and Lucy (Hill) Garner.

JD worked as a heavy equipment and auto mechanic. He was a loving man who liked bartering, trading, and telling jokes. He also enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Garner of Pleasant Plains; one sister, June Whiteside of DeValls Bluff; four grandchildren, Jerad Dugger, Cody Garner, Dusty Garner, and Ty Garner; one great-grandchild, Hattie Dugger, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Faye Garner; three sons, John Garner, Danny Seaman, and David Seaman; three sisters, Mavis Smith, Bonnie Harris, and Luann Garner; and three brothers, Carl Garner, Bill Garner, and Bob Garner.

Pallbearers are Jesse James Broyles, Jimmy Whiteside, Dusty Garner, JD Sample, and Jerad Dugger. The honorary pallbearer is Ty Garner.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Terry Whiteside and Glen Harris officiating. Burial will follow at McMullin Cemetery in Pleasant Plains.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
