Members of NADT Dance Academy’s Competition Team recently won the Class Act Award for their kindest and good character shown backstage at the Revolution Talent Competition that was recently held in West Memphis, NADT said in a release.
“This makes me very proud of how our girls conducted themselves,” said Cindy Hubberd, the director of the Academy.
All of the group dances placed in the top 10, with Lila McLaughlin (bottom picture, third from left in front row), placing first overall for her dance, “Almost There.”
Carissa Cordell (bottom picture, far left in back row) placed ninth out of 58 competing solos. Drew Ward (bottom picture, sixth from left in back row) placed third overall.
Chloe Massey (bottom picture, fourth from right in back row) placed fourth overall in her division.
Pictured top left is the Teen Trio consisting of (from left to right) Erynn Patterson, Hayli Baker, and Ayden Brown, who placed fourth with their “New Girl in Town” routine coached by Kate Edmonds, who is holding the Class Act Banner in top right corner.
Not pictured, is Lily Williams, who won the “Beautiful and Graceful” Judges Choice Award for her Lyrical Solo. All of these dancers may be seen in NADT’s Spring Recital of “The Little Mermaid,” June 3 and 4, at Southside Auditorium at 6 p.m. For more info: www.nadt.info or follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
