Today, we celebrate the life of our much-beloved Kenyan Trevan Evans, our Kenny Wayne!!

He was born in Newport Arkansas on 9-21-1994 to Tracy Evans and Tracy Woodruff. Kenny entered into Eternity on Wednesday, 4-6-2022 at Unity Health in Searcy Arkansas.

A rather precocious child, Kenny could usually be found in some type of mischief!! He grew to be a very gentle and responsible young man; a gentle giant. Kenny was extremely loving, kind and always willing to help.

Kenny graduated from Newport High School in 2013. He was a Greyhound to his soul and loved playing football. Number 70 was hard to miss and although he hated to hurt his opponents, he played with the heart of a champion; once received a football signed by his team!! Even after graduation, his dedication to the Hounds continued. His senior quote: “Heart and soul, blood and guts if you don’t love football, you must be nuts!!” He loved reliving his glory days and cheering on the Hounds!!

He was into fitness and aspired to be like his dad, Tracy. He walked, ran and worked out daily. He was also quite the chef!! He loved cooking and trying out new recipes.

Kenny was a Power Rangers fanatic and kept current on all things regarding them!! He had their theme song as his phone’s ringtone!!

Kenny Wayne was a dedicated member of Fifth St. Church of Christ until his mother’s health failed unexpectedly. He assisted and participated in every possible way. He especially enjoyed Vacation Bible School!!

His dream was to become an actor. That is what he wanted to major in when he went to Beacon College in Florida. While that did not go as planned, although a good student, the cost of his education was insurmountable. Instead, he became a TikToker and was very active on social media. Kenny loved animals too!!

Kenny loved his family and was a joy to be around. He was protective and had his mama and Big Mama wrapped around his little finger.

He enjoyed traveling and some of his most memorable trips were to Universal Studios, Disneyworld and Six Flags in Dallas and St. Louis.

There is so much to be said about Kenny, but to sum it up, he was our bright, shining star!!

Kenny was preceded in his passing by his maternal grandparents, Wilma (Big Mama) Woodruff and CS Woodruff, paternal grandparents Carolyn Evans Mitchell and Jimmy Ingraham, and his aunt Emma Shannon. His maternal uncles Edward “Lou” Wren, David Woodruff and Rusty Sheppard.
