The FNBC Student Commons Area at Ozarka College was filled with enthusiasm and positive energy from attendees of the Ozarka College Foundation Spring Gala on April 7.

According to a release from the college, Ozarka’s Foundation hosted the event with the theme, “Gearing Up for Tomorrow’s Workforce,” and the presenting sponsor was Centennial Bank.

Ozarka College President Dr. Richard Dawe welcomed the crowd of more than 260 attendees and spoke about successes shared by the college this past year. After a short welcome, Ozarka College Foundation Board Vice-Chair Daniel Busch offered a blessing followed by attendees enjoying a gourmet dinner prepared by Ozarka College’s Culinary Arts Department and a short video presentation highlighting student and alumni experiences.

Mike Watson prepared guests for the live auction that would close out the evening’s festivities. He announced that Sissy’s Log Cabin donated a beautiful diamond necklace that each highest bidder would be entered into a drawing for a chance to win at the end of the auction. Auctioneer Tony Watson then auctioned off several items that were generously donated by local community members and businesses.

After a successful auction raising the most money in Ozarka history, Ozarka College Foundation Board Chair Matt Rush then shared closing remarks and thanked everyone in attendance at the 2022 Spring Gala.

Special thanks went to the presenting sponsor, Centennial Bank, as well as corporate gold sponsors: Baxter Regional Medical Center, FNBC Community Bankers, and Finnegan Health Services.
