A new head senior boys basketball coach has been named at Batesville High School Charter.
According to Batesville School Athletic Director Dave King, Cody Matheny, 28, will replace Chad LaRose, who resigned effective at the end of this school year to pursue other ventures. LaRose is currently serving as the assistant coach of the Batesville High School girls’ softball team.
Matheny (pictured), who has been the head senior girls basketball coach at The New School in Fayetteville, is originally from the Cave City area.
Coach King said parents and other supporters of the Batesville boys basketball program are invited to a meet and greet Monday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. It will be held in the Batesville High School cafeteria.
