Ruby Doris Branson, 84 of Jonesboro departed this life on Monday ~ May 16, 2022, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on August 31, 1937, in Harrisburg, Arkansas the daughter of Archie Eli and Annie (Fallon) Cole.
She married Gene Thomas Branson on January 26, 1968, and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing on October 30, 2019.
Her parents both preceded her in death, and two brothers: Paul and Wilburn Cole, and two sisters: Patricia Hazelwood and Helen Ward.
She was a part of Trumann First Assembly of God Church. She worked for the University of Tennessee as an administrative assistant in the health department for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Stanley Branson of Colorado, two daughters: Sandra Garrison of Texas and Gena Huett of Jonesboro, Arkansas, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 12:30 until service time Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Arkansas. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p. m. with the interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will serve as active pallbearers and Bro. Kenneth Doke will conduct the service.
