It’s almost fair time again!
The 101st annual Independence County Fair begins next week at the fairgrounds in Batesville.
Entertainment this year includes T.G. Sheppard, the country artist who has scored 14 #1 country hits throughout his career, on Friday night, and on Saturday, the fair welcomes Jimmy Fortune of The Statler Brothers to the stage.
Plus, there will be pageants, livestock exhibits, a dog show, educational booths, commercial vendors, lots of food, and, of course, amusement rides.
Linda Baxter (pictured above, left) and Pam Lloyd (right) with the Independence County Fair Board visited Wes Gwaltney today at the White River Now family of radio stations to talk about the upcoming fair. Listen to their conversation below.
The Independence County Fair runs May 30-June 4.
