
Lois Charline Lowry, 83, of Harrisburg departed this life Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas. She was born October 1, 1938, in Parkin, AR the daughter of Clites and Rachel (Reynolds) Earl.
She married Joseph “Joe” Lowry on June 20, 1953, and they enjoyed 59, years of marriage before his passing in 2013.
She was a member of Hydrick Baptist Church for many years and was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and spending time with family and friends. Lois also enjoyed watching television, she enjoyed Wheel of Fortune and the Lawrence Welk Show, when you watched Lawrence Welk, you had to be ‘quiet’, no one could talk.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Clites and Rachel (Reynolds) Earl, her husband, Joseph (Joe) Lowry, one son, Gene Lowry, two brothers, Zandle Earl and Bruce Earl, one sister, Ann Clark. She is survived by three sons: Bill (Nora) Lowry, of Harrisburg, Wesley (Virginia) Lowry of Bono, AR and Terry (Cheryl) Pierce of Harrisburg, AR., two daughters, Beverly Threat, of Greenwood, AR and Nancy (Ron) Edmon of Jonesboro, AR, three brothers, Kenneth (Wendy) Earl, of Stevensville, MD, Glen (Brenda) Earl of Heth, AR and Ray (Martha) Earl of Marshall, AR., four sisters, Opal Sikes of Harrison, AR, Janell (Donald) Carroll of West Memphis, AR, Teresa (James) Kelly of Marion, AR, Sandra Seals of Paris, AR and a sister-in-law, Helena Earl of Branch, AR.
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. and funeral services will begin at 2:00 P. M. Bro. Chance Watson will conduct the service. The following will serve as active pallbearers: Marion Trowbridge, Mandy Trowbridge, Jacob Trowbridge, Joey Trowbridge, Leigh Threat, Jay Threat, Cliff Lowry and Adam Lowry. Interment will be in Bay Village Cemetery.
