Mildred “Millie” Gates Stoner, 85, of Tuckerman departed this life Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was born September 27, 1936, to Guy Gates and Agnes Hembrey Gates.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob Stoner Sr., brothers Thomas “Dub” Gates and Jim Gates.
Millie was a member of the Tuckerman First Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, watching westerns, cardinal baseball, cooking and especially taking care of her rose bushes.
She is survived by her son; Bob “Butch” Stoner Jr., and wife Kathy of Conway, daughters; Mitzi Milligan and husband Bobby of Tuckerman Sherry Jones and husband Tony of Heber Springs, brothers; Bill Gates and wife Connie of Tuckerman, John Gates and wife Sue of Newport, Freddy Gates and wife Cindy of Newport, sister; Mary Dodson and husband Marcus of Jacksonport, grandchildren; Amanda ‘Amie” Bryant and husband Jonathan, Jason Milligan, Cody Sharp and wife Katye, Haley Frerichs and husband Jon, Sydney Stoner Shelton and husband Austin, great-grandchildren; Jayce, Jiles, Cooper, Campbell, Rylan, one great-great-grandchild; Jadisen, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Life Celebration Service will be at 2:00 Monday, June 13, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Brandon Gates officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Interment will be at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jesse Gates, Marty Gates, Malachi Gates, Jaxson Gates, David Dixson and John Brownd.
