UPDATE, July 16, 2022: The Silver Alerts have been inactivated, according to the Arkansas State Police. According to Jonesboro television station KAIT, the couple was found safe in Iowa on Friday afternoon. The Hayes told authorities they were traveling to visit relatives in the Rockford, Illinois area.
EARLIER: The Arkansas State Police has issued two Silver Alerts for a Hoxie, Ark., couple last seen in Walnut Ridge around noon on Tuesday.
According to a release from the state police on Thursday, the Hoxie Police Department requested activation of the two alerts for Harold L. Hayes, 78, and his wife Bonnie E. Hayes, 77 (pictured above).
They may be traveling together in a silver Ford Escape with a license plate number 063 WPE.
The release said Harold Hayes stands 5 feet, 7 inches, and weighs 155 pounds with balding brown hair and brown eyes while Bonnie Hayes stands just over 5 feet and weighs 148 with short gray hair and blue eyes.
