Sherrie Dee Borders, 76, passed on July 16, 2022, at 7:29 a.m. at White River Medical Center. She was born on September 22, 1945, in Evanston, Illinois to Raymond Kelly and Dorothy Van Alstine.
She was a long-time bookkeeper and worked with her mother in Illinois. When she moved to Las Vegas she continued bookkeeping, and then to California to continue bookkeeping there. She was a part of the team that produced a replica for the Transcontinental Train’s 110th Anniversary. She then moved to Batesville, Arkansas to work for Ronnie Dowdy Trucking Company before retiring. Sherrie loved her family. She also had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and the many other children she fostered in her lifetime. Sherrie’s passions were reading, painting, and watching Syfy shows.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Kelly, Dorothy and Curtis Alfred Van Alstine; and her sons, Bret John Marxsen and Edward Allen Borders III. She is survived by her three daughters, Kelly Anne Neist (Mark), Pamela Kim Whitehead (James), and Kriste l Marie Fiasco (Larry); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Marxsen (Bret John); eighteen grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10 AM. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM.
