Wanda (Davis) Merriweather of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born July 31, 1930, the last of five daughters born to Lester and Cleva (Harris) Davis.
She Davis was married to Arvin Dean Merriweather on July 18, 1947, and together they spent 28 years.
She was a founding member of First Free Will Baptist Church at Tuckerman. She was an active member, who taught Sunday school, and sang in the church trio.
She worked for the Tuckerman School District for over 35 years and especially loved being a granny at the school.
She enjoyed keeping her house spotless and loved spending time with her family.
Shea was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Dean Merriweather; one son, Roger Merriweather; her sisters; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Merriweather and his wife, Diane of Crossett, and Bobby Merriweather of Tuckerman; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and the multitude of children whose lives she touched at Tuckerman Elementary School.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Tuckerman First Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Danny Merriweather officiating. Friends may visit at the church, from 9:00 a.m. until service.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Merriweather, David Nation, Kiley Roberts, Carson Roberts, Kenny Bible, and Mark Hembrey. James Cossey will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
