Margaret Kay (VanHoozer) DeLong, 66, of Cabot, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, August 21, 2022, in the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born October 26, 1955, the daughter of Bollie and Dorothy (Davis) VanHoozer.
Her parents both preceded her in death and three brothers: Corley, Wade, and James VanHoozer.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church in Cabot.
Margaret Kay served her country in the Army with her last assignment being with Medical Holding Company in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. She enjoyed writing poems, drawing, being with her pets, and spending time with her family and friends.
Margaret Kay is survived by one son, Matthew DeLong of Cabot, Arkansas, two sisters: Sandra Kirkland and Robin Hoke both of Jonesboro, and three grandchildren: Kaylie DeLong, Avalie DeLong, Hartlie DeLong.
Visitation will be Friday, August 26 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 until Service Time. The funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P. M. with Pastor Nathan Russell conducting the service and the Family will serve as active pallbearers.
Interment will be in Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Arkansas.
Mrs. Margaret Kay (VanHoozer) DeLong was a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and friend to many. A very special lady that will be greatly missed. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
