Montine Foster Branscum, 81, of Rosie, Arkansas, passed away on August 23, 2022. She was born on October 17, 1940, in Oil Trough, Arkansas to Brown and Josie (Pruitt) Foster.
Montine was a Christian who loved the Lord and was a member of Rosie Baptist Church which she loved. She was a homemaker who took very good care of her family. She enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening, canning, and freezing vegetables, mowing her yard, sewing, needlework, and reading, and she had a (little known) talent for writing. She spent 63 wonderful years with her loving husband, Marcus, before he passed away on October 9, 2021. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them.
She is survived by one brother, Mack Foster of Oil Trough; one son Marcus Edmon Branscum, Jr (Stacey) of Rosie; three daughters, Debbie Jean Keyton (Gary) of Meadow Lake, Cindy Gwyn Fox (Shane) of Malvern, Lottie Montine Bond (Boyd) of Southside, and a very special niece that she considered a 4th daughter, Janet Harris (DeWayne) of Oil Trough; one granddaughter, Stephanie Turner; four grandsons, Beau Canter, Zac Branscum, Luc Branscum, and Alex Branscum; two great-grandsons, Beau Canter Jr. and Cash Branscum; three great-granddaughters, Belle Canter, Jovi Branscum, Lux Branscum. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Marcus Edmon Branscum; sisters Nola Cantrell, Earline Freeman, Lenora Dawson, Shirley Hays, and Carolyn Teal.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Willis Funeral Service from 6-8 PM. A funeral service, officiated by Brother Farrell Miller, will be held on Friday, August 26, 2002, at 10 AM at Rosie Baptist Church with interment to follow at Maple Springs Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Beau Canter, Beau Canter, Jr., Mac Foster, Dewayne Harris, Tim Anthony, and Jon Bruce. The honorary pallbearers include Danny Cantrell, Jerry Cantrell, Jim Dawson, and Delbert Frazier.
