Obituary: Donald “Pops” Chester Januchowski

Donald “Pops” Chester Januchowski, 67, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022, after a long battle with cancer surrounded by family and laughter. He was born on April 5, 1955, in Alpena, Michigan and graduated from Alpena High School in 1973. Don relocated with his family to Batesville in 1983 where he resided for the remainder of his life.

He was a Don of all trades. He loved making people laugh, watching sports, spending time with family, especially on family game nights, and working on anything possible. He enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the beauty of nature and was never lacking binoculars.

Survived by loving wife of 17 years, Donna, and six children, Jessica of Conway, AR; Bradley (Regina) of Locust Grove, AR; Don (Lisa) Hill of Vicksburg, MS; Amanda (Catherine McLeskey) of Auburn, AL; Candace (Jeremy) Eckart of Cabot, AR; and Kelli (Caleb) Conley of Bryant, AR; 7 grandchildren (Trinity, Jacob, Logan, Kaydence, Sam, Jackson, & Kenna Grace), sisters Patricia (Ray) Hentkowski of Presque Isle, MI; John of Bay City, MI; Marion (Tom) Macklem of Ossineke, MI. Preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Raymond, brother Kenneth of Alpena, MI and grandson, Liam Conley of Bryant, AR.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Doty Southside Funeral Service in Southside, Arkansas. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM.
