BETHANY, Okla. – The Lyon College Scots men’s soccer team had a 1-1 tie break up into a 4-2 loss against Southwestern Christian in Bethany, Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon.
Andrei Galca got the Scots on the scoreboard first with a goal at the 11:03 mark of the first half with an assist coming from Ronaldo Jacobs. Meanwhile, Southwestern Christian came back to tie the game 1-1 at the 29:03 mark and that score stood until halftime.
Felipe Teruel gave Scots a 2-1 lead at the 45:14 mark of the second half with another assist from Galdino. However, Southwestern Christian added three more goals later in the second half to take the win.
Lyon College had 12 shots at the goal and eight of those were on-goal kicks. The Scots had five saves and four corner kicks.
Mauro Garrentano, Galaca (2) and Tavaris Wellington (2), Galidno, Jevanni Hinkson, Jacobs and Teruel all had shots on goal in the game.
The Scots goalie, Dan Huff had five saves in the contest.
