SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – The Lyon College men’s soccer team dropped two road games over the past four days and now stand at 1-4-1 on the season.
Last Saturday in Fort Worth, Tex., the Scots lost a 2-0 decision to Texas Wesleyan, giving up both goals in the second half.
On Tuesday afternoon, Lyon College was defeated 3-1 at John Brown University.
Against Texas Wesleyan, Lyon College had only four shots on goal out of nine shots taken in the game. The Scots goalie, Dan Huff, came up with five saves in the contest, while Jevanni Hinkson, Leonardo Galdino, Warren Simpson, and Martin Esquivel all had shots on goal.
Against John Brown University, three first-half goals by the host team made it difficult for Lyon College to climb back in the game. The Scots were able to get one goal in the second half on a penalty kick from Galdino at the 55:39 mark.
Lyon College had seven shots and two on-goal shots for the game, while JBU totaled eight shots on goal. Yannick Zwiebel and Galdino were credited with shots on goal for Lyon College and Huff had four saves.
