Kenneth Dale “D.J.” Jackson, 78, of Newport departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born on August 1, 1944 to Boyce and Melba Jackson.
Kenneth was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a trucker by trade and loved his job. His trucking buddies knew him by his CB handle which was D.J. He enjoyed piddling with stuff, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Evelyn Powell and Opal Willard; his brothers, David Jackson and John Jackson.
He is survived by his daughter, Christi Taylor (Allen McDermott) of Newark; his brother, Mark Jackson (Carol) of Newport; his sister, Ruby Carter (Lanny) of Magnolia; his grandchildren, Cristina Mitchell of Batesville, Katelyn Mitchell of Newark and Jonathan Mitchell of Newark.
